From packing supplies to encouraging families, you made sure every child felt seen and supported. Your service embodies the mission of VOBG Cares, and we are deeply grateful. At VOBG Cares, we are dedicated to supporting women and creating a world where they can thrive. Since our inception in 2023, we have been committed to forging strong relationships with the women we support and empowering them to create positive change in their communities. Our efforts have created a ripple effect of positive change, and we are proud to be part of a movement that is working towards a brighter future for all women and families.
OUR SISTERHOOD
The Kinship Care Support Group is a and welcoming community focused on personal development, mutual support, and empowering women from diverse backgrounds. Our goal is to create a safe, uplifting environment where women can connect, celebrate their unique strengths, share their experiences, and embark on a shared journey of self-discovery, self-care, and empowerment.
Vision: We envision a sisterhood rooted in solidarity, self-acceptance, and ongoing growth. Our aim is to empower every member to realize their potential, embrace their uniqueness, and make a meaningful impact on their lives and the world around them. Meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month (virtually).
VOBG Cares strongly advocates for Black women nationwide in pursuit of policy changes that enhance economic opportunities. We believe that equitable can dismantle systemic barriers and create pathways to prosperity for Black women Through our unwavering commitment to advocacy, we strive to foster a future where every Black woman can flourish and make significant contributions to our society.

It's crucial to advocate for grandmothers raising grandchildren to ensure they receive the support, resources, and recognition necessary for their success. By addressing their needs, we can foster stronger, more resilient families and communities.
